& Sunday, December 6th, 2026

Welcome to the Eastern National Doll Show, the longest-running event of its kind on the East Coast. We celebrate the artistry of dolls, bears, and toys, offering a unique experience for collectors to explore the charm and nostalgia of these beloved treasures. From exquisite antique pieces to contemporary creations, our show brings together enthusiasts to honor centuries of play.

The History

of the Gaithersburg Doll Show

Established in 1972 by Hubert and Mary Bellman, the Eastern National Doll Show began in Gaithersburg, Maryland, as an inspired event featuring thirteen local exhibitors. A large, live Christmas tree adorned with Victorian ornaments served as the centerpiece for that inaugural show, marking the start of a family tradition that eventually grew to host over 500 exhibitors. Continuing this legacy, the show remains a multi-generational, family-run event. Their daughter, Stephanie F. Bellman, officially took over the show in 2020, and it is now proudly managed alongside Stephanie's daughter, Mary Katherine.

While the industry has evolved, the Bellman family remains dedicated to the "grandfather" of long-running events by continuing the exclusive December edition. We are committed to making the show come alive for a new generation of collectors, honoring the legacy of renowned friends while embracing the future of the industry. Our event celebrates the diverse world of collecting, featuring a comprehensive selection of antique, vintage, collectible, modern, and artist dolls, along with exquisite dollhouses and detailed miniatures. We also showcase antique toys, playthings, and bears ranging from antique to artist-made, inviting everyone to help us continue the love for this wonderful family of collecting.
